Huaraz

Huaraz is undoubtedly the capital of high mountain sports in Peru. The city as such as little interest: destroyed during a terrible earthquake in 1970, it never recovered from the sudden damage. However, it is its exceptional geographical location, wedged between the white and black mountain ranges, that makes Huaraz so attractive. Many tourists consider it to be one of the most beautiful mountain landscapes in the world. The city lives to the rhythm of these mountaineers who come to compete with nature, in search of adrenaline and fresh air.
